Learning Has Been and Always Will Be Free

Whether it’s listening to someone tell a story or an old-fashioned library book or a search on the internet or even asking Siri or Alexa a curious question – opportunities to learn are widely available to all of us. I couldn’t resist sharing this picture from Mt Pleasant, TN – a small town south of Franklin that still believes everyone should have the opportunity to learn and grow and share. Big props to Malcolm Gladwell – Blink made the cut on this little free library – available to anyone who sees it and reaches for it. At roux we love to learn, grow and share and be around people who subscribe to that same mantra because then we can continue to learn from each other and that always seems to raise the entire ship.
Every January we like to gather as a croux and plan for the year ahead. It serves as a holiday celebration and a strategy session. We look forward to it every year. Over the last few years, we’ve also begun incorporating a “word of the year” practice, where we each choose a word that we will focus on throughout the year.
