What’s the name of your company?
We hear that a lot. We are roux — pronounced just like Roo, the joey from the Winnie the Pooh stories. That’s it - the “x” is silent.
Even so, it trips people up more than we ever expected. We’ve heard “Rux,” “Row,” and everything in between, along with the occasional guess that there’s a hard X sound buried in there somewhere.
So why did we choose a short, often-mispronounced word as our name?
